Cookie policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. At Castanoble the rule is simple: nothing that is not strictly necessary is installed without your permission. We use the technical cookies needed for the shop to work — to remember your basket, keep you signed in and process payment securely — and, only if you accept them in the notice on your first visit, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta and Google), each purpose separately. You can reject them with one click, use the website in exactly the same way and change your mind whenever you like from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
Technical cookies we use (exempt from consent)
Under Article 22(2) of the LSSI (the Spanish Information Society Services Act) and the Spanish Data Protection Agency's (AEPD) Guide on the Use of Cookies (May 2024), these cookies are exempt from consent because they are strictly necessary for the service you request:

| _medusa_jwt | Castanoble (first-party) | Keeping you signed in to your customer account (only if you register) | 7 days |
| _medusa_cache_id | Castanoble (first-party) | Providing up-to-date catalogue content during your visit | 24 hours |

| cn_pais_sugerido | Castanoble (first-party) | Recording the delivery country suggested by your browser's language, so that we can SUGGEST changing it to you (we never redirect you or make the decision for you) | Session |
| cn_pais_rechazado | Castanoble (first-party) | Remembering that you have already chosen a country (or declined the suggestion), so that we do not ask you again | 1 year |
| cn_idioma_navegador | Castanoble (first-party) | Recording that your browser is not set to a language used in Spain, so that we can SUGGEST the English-language pages to you (we never redirect you) | Session |
| cn_idioma_rechazado | Castanoble (first-party) | Remembering that you closed that notice, used one of its links or responded to the country suggestion, so that we do not show it to you again | 1 year |
| cn_saludo | Castanoble (first-party) | Showing you the welcome message just after you sign in (it only contains a “1”, no personal data) | 1 minute |
| __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid | Stripe (payment gateway) | Security and fraud prevention during card payment (only set during the payment process) | 1 year / 30 minutes |
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA, certified under the Data Privacy Framework) to measure, in aggregate, how the website is used and to improve the shop. These cookies are only installed if you expressly accept them in the notice we show you on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. Google keeps the browsing data associated with these cookies for 14 months from your last visit; after that, only aggregated statistics remain, which do not identify anyone.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google (third-party) | Distinguishing users (aggregated statistics) | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google (third-party) | Maintaining the state of the measurement session | 2 years |
Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie (cn_consentimiento, 13 months) so that we do not ask you again on every visit. If you withdraw any consent, we also delete the cookies that depended on it.
Advertising
We advertise on Instagram, Facebook and Google, and we need to know whether our ads work. Only if you expressly accept the “Advertising” category in the cookie notice does this website load the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Ireland) and, if you have also accepted analytics, allow Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) to use what Google Analytics measures for its ads. This serves two purposes: to measure how many visits and purchases come from our ads and to enable us to show you Castanoble ads on those platforms.
The information they receive is data about your browsing: the public pages you visit, the products you view or add to your basket and, if you make a purchase, the amount and the items. We do not send them your name, email, address or telephone number. Your account and order pages are excluded: from those pages, we never send Meta the address of the page you are on or the page you came from, and, for a purchase, it receives only the amount and the items. Meta and Google may link that activity to your account on their services if you have one; in relation to that collection and transmission, Meta acts as a joint controller with us (Article 26 GDPR).
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta (third-party) | Distinguishing browsers to measure Instagram and Facebook ads | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta (third-party) | Remembering that you arrived from a Meta ad (only created in that case) | 90 days |
| _gcl_au | Google (third-party) | Attributing a purchase to the Google ad it came from (only if you also accept analytics) | 90 days |
You can withdraw this consent whenever you like from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. In addition, Meta and Google let you decide which ads you see from your account settings (“Ad preferences” on Meta and “My Ad Center” on Google).
How to delete or block cookies in your browser
In addition to the above, you can always delete or block cookies (including technical ones, although your basket or your session would stop working) in your browser settings: Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge have specific help on their support pages if you search for “delete cookies”.
