How we verify reviews

There is no open form for leaving reviews. The only way to publish a review is through the invitation we send by email a few days after the order is delivered. That invitation contains a personal, single-use link tied to your purchase and to the specific product: once used, it stops working. By design, 100% of the product reviews on this website are from real buyers.

A member of our team reads every review before it appears on the website. In that check we only remove content that is spam, is offensive or contains personal data (a phone number, an address).

We never reject a review for being negative or because of its rating. Critical reviews are published just like excellent ones and count equally towards the average rating, which is the arithmetic mean of the ratings of all the published reviews of each product.

• We do not buy reviews or incentivise them with coupons or gifts.
• We do not edit or rewrite any customer's text.
• We do not accept reviews from third parties who have not made a purchase (not even from relatives or acquaintances of people at the company).
• We do not remove published reviews unless they fail to comply with what is stated above or their author asks us to remove them.

We sometimes reply publicly to a review, especially if something did not go well. Those replies are signed “Castanoble”, are visible to everyone and do not replace or modify the customer's review.

The photos accompanying some reviews were uploaded by the customers themselves alongside their reviews and undergo the same check as the text. They are not catalogue photos.

On the home page, on product pages and on our Barcelona shop page we also show the Google rating of our shop in Sant Andreu. Those reviews are published and managed by Google, do not go through our system, and we do not verify that they come from customers of our online shop.
